What are Data and Data Science? What do most businesses have in common when it comes to Data and Analytics? Why does privacy matter in the practical sense? Are we trending toward more privacy or less?

• A lot of the world does work in patterns, but we humans also sometimes look at things and want to see patterns that aren't there.
• What gets a lot of attention is looking into the unknown unknowns, which is important, but a lot of businesses don't have the basics. A lot of times huge impact can be made by getting the basics down.
• Data on its own is useless. Data needs to be turned into analysis, turned into insight, turned into value, and finally turned into action.
